Round 3, Selection 78
Louis Vasquez – G, Texas Tech
Vasquez earned the started RG position out of training camp. He started 14 games at RG, missing two games due to injury. Despite struggling with injuries again in 2010, he started all 10 of the games that he appeared in.
Round 4, Selection 113
Vaughn Martin – NT, Western Ontario
Martin appeared in 10 games recording four tackles in 2009. He continued with the Chargers in a backup role in 2010, appearing in 10 games while recording three tackles and one sack.

Tyronne Green – G, Auburn
Green appeared in three games for the Chargers in 2009. In 2010, Green played in twelve games, including four starts as he continued to prove that he could be a valuable contributor.

Gartrell Johnson – HB, Colorado St.
Johnson was released before the start of the 2009 season. He spent the 2009 season with Giants before being released at the end of the season. During the 2010 season, he played sparingly with the Atlanta Falcons as their third-string running back.

Brandon Hughes – DB, Oregon St.
Hughes was placed on IR and did not play a game for the Chargers in 2009. He was released during the 2010 pre-season and spent the 2010 regular season with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he made five tackles in the one game in played in.
Round 6, Selection 189
Kevin Ellison – SS, Southern Cal
Ellison started nine of the 13 games he played in recording a sack and 41 tackles. After being arrested during the off-season between the 2009-2010 seasons, he was released by the Chargers and eventually signed off of waivers by the Seattle Seahawks.
Round 7, Selection 224
Demetrius Byrd – WR, LSU
Bryd suffered an injury prior to the draft and placed on the IR following the draft. Bryd was released from the team early in 2010 and is currently out of the NFL.
