McNeill Signs Five Year Deal

mcneillPer ESPN’s Adam Schefter: Chargers agree to 5-year contract extension with Pro Bowl LT Marcus McNeill.

This should not come as a surprise to anyone, I mentioned on HBR that an extension would be in the works when McNeill returned to the team.  The annoucement came today after the all pro tackle was officially placed on the active roster.

Contract details will be added as they become available.

The five-year contract extension that San Diego Chargers left tackle Marcus McNeill agreed to Wednesday could be worth as much as $48.5 million, according to league sources.

McNeill’s deal includes as much as $30 million during the first three years. That and the total figure put the two-time Pro Bowl selection in line with the highest-paid offensive tackles in the NFL.
